Weddings

Marriage, also called matrimony or wedlock, is a socially or ritually recognised union between two people. The definition of marriage varies around the world not only between cultures and between religions, but also throughout the history of any given culture and religion, evolving to both expand and constrict in who and what is encompassed. When defined broadly, marriage is considered a cultural universal. The marriage ceremony is known as a wedding.

A wedding is a ceremony with rituals where two people vow to spend their lives together in marriage. It is not just about the couple getting married, it is also an exchange between that couple with their family and friends. It is a special moment where the couple vows to be together as a pillar of support in love. By attending a wedding, the guests are also agreeing to uphold this couple in their marriage together.

How exciting…

With a Civil Celebrant you really can have your wedding celebration tailored to your wishes and dreams.

**To be legally married in England and Wales you have to have a basic ten minute ceremony in your local Register Office and only requires the two of you and a couple of witnesses to attend. Once the formalities have been completed you are free to enjoy the ceremony of your dreams anywhere. Read more here.**

To make your day extra special, you can decide the theme, the vows, prayers if you wish to include some religious element, songs and who you may like to take part in the ceremony. A truly bespoke and personalised occasion.
